Tucanos Brazilian Grill Announces Inaugural

Virginia Brazilian Festival

Newport News, Va. – On Sept. 20, 2014, Tucanos Brazilian Grill will introduce a little bit of Brazil into the Old Dominion with the 2014 Virginia Brazilian Festival.

This first time event will be held at City Center in the Oyster Point area of Newport News, Va.  Visitors from throughout the Mid-Atlantic along with local residents will be treated to a celebration of authentic Brazilian culture, food, arts and rhythms.

Festivities begin with a Samba Parade down Fountain Way past Town Center Drive and onto the Fountain Stage park, where attendees will see native dance demonstrations, take part in handcraft workshops, or enjoy the children’s activity area.  Brazilian and American performers will take the stage and provide music and dance throughout the day, leading up to a performance by a headlining Brazilian band.

Free admission and open to the public; food, beverages, gifts available for purchase. Authentic Brazilian musical entertainment, samba and other native dances as well as children’s activities. Celebrate and share the heritage of the Brazilian culture, food and people!
