THE MEANING OF VETERANS DAY: A celebration to honor America’s veterans for their patriotism, love of country, and willingness to serve and sacrifice for the common good.

(2) MB recommends calling ahead to verify discounts and freebies for Veterans Day 2019. Some offers are on Veterans Day, November 11, while others are when it is observed on a day surrounding Veterans Day. MB has done our best to verify all offers but some are specific to participating locations due to franchises. It is always best to call ahead first to verify your particular location to make sure they are participating. We also strongly recommend calling restaurants ahead to see if you are able to make a reservation as those that take them book up very quickly.

(3) Proper identification: Remember to bring proof of service as most will require this however some may go on the honor system. Proof of service can include: a Military ID Card, Veterans ID Card, DD214, discharge paperwork, Current Leave and Earnings Statement (LES), Drivers License with Veterans Designation, Veterans Organization Card (e.g., American Legion and VFW), or other form of identification. You can also now receive your Veterans ID Card showing proof of service from the Department of Veterans Affairs.

Abuelo’s Mexican Restaurant: Companywide – In honor of Veterans Day, Abuelo’s is doing Queso for Heroes fundraiser for Honor Flight – Abuelo’s will donate $1 to Honor Flight for each Chile con Queso appetizer that is sold, Thursday, November 7 through Monday, November 11. Virginia and Kentucky stores will offer veterans and active duty military a 20% discount on their entire check all day on Monday, November 11. Valid Military ID required. Discount applied to food purchases only. Does not include tax, gratuity or alcohol.

Anchor Allies: (Hampton Roads locations) will offer a Free Slice of Apple Pie for Veterans on Veterans Day.  Plus, the entire month of November they are running a “Buy A Veteran A Beer” for $5.  During November they will offer the options for patrons to donate $5 as a pay it forward donation.  At the end of the month, they will total the donations and use them to distribute free beers to veterans throughout the holidays in December. 

APPLEBEE’S: Military Veterans and Active-Duty Service Members will be able to EAT FREE from the Applebee’s Veterans Day Menu at participating Applebee’s across the U.S. on Veterans Day, Monday, November 11, 2019 with id.

Baker’s Square: Veterans and Active Duty Military receive a FREE MEAL on Veterans Day. Now through Veterans Day, Bakers Square will also raise funds for the Folded Flag Foundation. Bakers Square restaurants also offer a 10 percent military discount all year long.

BAR LOUIE: This Veterans Day, Bar Louie locations will offer a FREE BURGER or FLATBREAD up to $15 for active duty or military veterans with proof of service.

Country Cookin: All active, reserve, retired, and honorably discharged members of the U.S. military are invited to dine at their local Country Cookin on Veteran’s Day, November 11th. Simply show valid military ID (such as a Veteran’s Administration benefits card) and fill out the service card to receive a free salad bar or $5 off any entree. Thank you for your service to our country!

Denny’s Restaurants: In honor of Veterans Day, on November 11 and November 12, active, retired and veterans with id enjoy a FREE Grand Slam 5am-noon at participating locations.

Friendly’s: On Veterans Day, Free Big-Two-Do® breakfast (choice of two slices of French toast, two buttermilk pancakes or two slices of toast; two strips of crispy bacon or two sausage links and two made-to-order farm fresh eggs), or All-American Burger (fries and a beverage) during lunch or dinner. GOLDEN CORRAL: In its 19th year! Golden Corral’s annual Military Appreciation Night dinner will be held on Monday, November 11, 2019, from 5 to 9 pm in all Golden Corral restaurants nationwide. The FREE dinner meal is a special “thank you tribute” to any person who has ever served in the United States Military. If you are a veteran, retired, currently serving, in the National Guard or Reserves, you are invited to join us for Golden Corral’s Military Appreciation dinner.

Hooters: Hooters invites all veterans and current servicemen and women to a Hooters Veterans Day free meal from a select menu by presenting a military ID or proof of service at participating Hooters location across the country.

IHOP: IHOP offers FREE pancakes to active duty military & veterans on Veterans Day at participating locations.

Joe’s Crab Shack: In honor of Veterans Day, Joes Crab Shack is offering a 20% discount on Veterans Day.

KRISPY KREME DOUGHNUT: (waiting verification) Free doughnut and small coffee to all those who have served or currently are serving. Proof of military service required or those in uniform. Only at participating locations.

Little Caesar’s Pizza: Little Caesars® Pizza Treats Veterans and Military to Free $5 HOT-N-READY® Lunch Combo for Veterans Day between 11am and 2pm.
