The attack on Pearl Harbor was a surprise military strike conducted by the Imperial Japanese Navy against the United States naval base at Pearl Harbor, Hawaii, on the morning of December 7, 1941 (December 8 in Japan). The attack led to the United States' entry into World War II.

The attack lasted 110 minutes, from 7:55 a.m. until 9:45 a.m.
A total of 2,335 U.S. servicemen were killed and 1,143 were wounded. Sixty-eight civilians were also killed and 35 were wounded.

To all the brave soldiers that were a part of Peal Harbor WE WILL NEVER FORGET!

A couple years ago, my family and I had the opportunity to visit the Pearl Harbor Visitor Center and do the tour of the USS Arizona.  It was a sombering experience.  There was very little talking (as far as the audience) during the tour just listening and learning about what these men and women experienced on that fateful day.  The tour was put together amazing.  I highly recommend doing this tour if you happen to be in the Honolulu area.  It is recommended to buy your tickets in advance or take your chances on calling the morning of when they release tickets.  We called the morning of and got tickets but there is no guarantee. Our children learned so much by this experience as did we.
