Military Missions In Action (MMIA) is a nonprofit organization based in North Carolina
Military Missions In Action is a North Carolina-founded and focused veteran non-profit dedicated to assisting veterans in need, members of all Armed Forces, and their loving supporting families.
For the last 15 years, MMIA has provided support through three programs: Home For Healing, which provides new and gently used household furnishings and goods to assist veterans, active-duty servicemembers, and families in need of establishing housing stability; Operation Building Hope, which provides creative home modification services and emergency repairs to ensure that veterans and their family members with disabilities can remain living independently; and Fill The Footlocker, which provides support to forward deployed service members and military working dog teams by a touch of home through carefully crafted care packages. Fill The Footlocker also packs and delivers health, hygiene, and sundry items, along with clothing, shoes, and blankets, to unhoused veterans through our unhoused veterans stand-down backpacks. Also, through Fill The Footlocker, we provide the children of active-duty military and veterans in need with new toys, gifts, and clothing at Christmas time.
There are five MMIA Programs:
