Centrally located in Norfolk, Virginia, Christ the King Catholic School serves families throughout the Hampton Roads area. For 69 years, the school has provided a quality faith and learning environment. Christ the King School was the first Catholic school in the Norfolk area to provide Special Education Services to children with learning disabilities. We continue to expand those services and are now offering enhanced programs for Talented and Gifted students. We believe that these services further our core mission – to provide a quality education based on Christian values to as many children as possible – regardless of ability to pay or learning styles. We take pride in providing a loving and nurturing environment conducive to learning for all children. The military community is heavily represented at Christ the King School. A large part of our student body hails from military families. We are especially fortunate that many of our faculty and staff are associated with the armed forces as veterans, reserve personnel, retired military or military spouses. Their unique perspective and vast experiences open the world to our students. Our military families add diversity and warmth to our community. We regularly welcome new families throughout the year and strive to help these students assimilate to their new home. A special group of student volunteers, our Cougar Ombudsman, make transitions easier and are available to help answer questions, walk through schedules and introduce students to life as a Cougar.
