irginia Beach City Public Schools (VBCPS) is proud to serve the many military families who work and live in our community. Approximately 25 percent of the school division’s student population is comprised of active-duty, military-dependent youth, and VBCPS is committed to providing support, resources and enriching programs to enhance their educational experiences and support their families. VBCPS is fortunate to partner with the Department of Defense Education Activity (DoDEA), which has awarded the school division multiple grants to support social, emotional, STEM and special education initiatives. From parental deployments to the academic and social challenges that come with changing schools, VBCPS strives to ensure families have the best resources possible to assist students in reaching their full potential.
