We are proud to announce that 30 of our schools received the Purple Star designation! The Purple Star designation is awarded to military-friendly schools that have demonstrated their commitment to meeting the needs of military-connected students and their families. Each of the 30 schools in this award class previously earned the Purple Star designation three years ago - affirming their uninterrupted commitment to our military families! The Virginia Department of Education (VDOE) and the Virginia Council on the Interstate Compact on the Educational Opportunity for Military Children recently awarded the Purple Star designation for the 2024-2025 award year to the following schools.
