First Tee — Hampton Roads is one of only nine multi-purpose chapters in the First Tee network. Operating as a location of the YMCA of South Hampton Roads, our chapter features a nine-hole walking golf course and practice areas. This youth development organization integrates the game of golf with a life skills curriculum, creating active learning experiences that build inner strength, self-confidence, and resilience that kids can carry to everything they do. We’re Building Game Changers through our junior golf programs.

The First Tee of the Virginia Peninsula offers three nine-week sessions during the year. There is one in the spring, summer and fall.
Military Voucher Initiative–Thank you, Service Members and families!
We are thrilled to announce the Edward T. Bedford Foundation and the Stanley Blaxton Foundation have renewed their support for our Military Voucher Program. To apply this to your next program, you can come in and complete a form, show proof of military status and enroll yourself or your child(ren) into an upcoming class or camp. The voucher will extend a $50 discount, per person, per program (over $50). Thank you for serving for our country.
