What’s in Store at Kings Dominion for 2020

New area coming in 2020–Coconut Shores.  Coconut Shores has been redesigned providing the perfect place for families to cool down and have fun. Kids of all ages can explore their way to the top of Lighthouse Landing, a 45-ft tall multi-level aqua play structure featuring hundreds of interactive elements for a splashtastic time. The little ones can find their own piece of paradise at Sand Dune Lagoon, a 3,000 square foot wave pool with playful 1-foot tall waves and interactive splash elements. And, a new dining experience showcasing a variety of flavors designed by our executive chef will bring families together for a relaxing meal.

Twisted Timbers–In its third year!

A Wooden Coaster with a Twist of Steel.  Steel and wood combine forces to bring you our newest rollercoaster – Twisted Timbers. This hybrid coaster is the first of its kind in the mid-Atlantic and uses the latest technology to combine wood supports and steel track to give riders an experience that is impossible on a traditional wooden coaster.  Twisted Timbers sits at the edge of Candy Apple Grove and gives riders a one-of-a-kind experience. Plummet down a 109-foot-tall barrel roll drop, through two more inversions and soaring over 20 airtime hills at speeds of 54 miles per hour. Hold on tight, because this is a ride with a twist… this is Twisted Timbers.
