Habitat for Heroes Peninsula and Greater Williamsburg

ABOUT THE PROGRAM
The goal of the Habitat for Heroes program is to provide veterans with access to quality affordable housing, the opportunity to engage with the community and fellow veterans, and the chance to serve others by volunteering. 

APPLY
Habitat is currently accepting applications for veterans interested in becoming Habitat homeowners. Please review the information provided below about the program qualifications. A veteran is defined as a “person who served in the active military, naval or air service, and who was discharged or released under conditions other than dishonorable.” 

Families will be selected for the Habitat for Heroes program according to the program qualifications specified below. Habitat for Heroes families receive a 25% discount off the total house cost. Plus, there is opportunity for a zero-interest Habitat mortgage.

To ensure the success of this initiative, Habitat is actively seeking financial and in-kind resources for future Habitat for Heroes builds.
